It's easy to transfer a seat from one person to another and get the new user up and running.

Transfer a Seat

The easiest option is to replace the old employee's information with the new user. By editing the old employee's profile, you can ​effectively end access for the old employee and grant access to the replacement. 

Please Note

This process will not hide any old data from the new employee. The new employee will have access to the old employee's submissions from the GoCanvas website. All previous submissions will show as being submitted by the new employee (that is, the change is retroactive). If you need to maintain the old user's submissions, please create a ticket for alternative options.

  1. Navigate to Users by expanding the Account drop down.
  2. Locate the old employee and select the old employee's name.
  3. Select Edit in the Profile Information area at the top of the page.
  4. Update the account details to reflect the new employee's information.
  5. Save the changes.

Once complete, you are redirected to the user's profile page. From here you can change the password for the new user or your can submit a password reset for them.
