Change your Account Email as a User

This article provides instructions for how a user can update their own Account Email in their Profile.

As a user, you are able to edit the email that is associated with your account that doubles as your Username.


Change your Account Email

Please keep in mind that in order to change the email associated with your account, it must be a real email that you have access to. Changing the email is only the first step; you must then open your email to validate you have received the confirmation email.

First, navigate to the Profile page following the instructions based on your Account view.

Please note that if you have Departments enabled, your portal may slightly differ in appearance from the screenshots below but the steps remain the same.

Click Profile in the left navigation.

  1. Near the top of the page, click Change Email.

  2. Type in the email in the New Email text field, enter your password in the Confirm Password field, and click Change Email to send the confirmation email.

  3. Open your email client, in your browser or a mobile app, open the email from GoCanvas, and click the button to validate the new email.

Note

If you're an Admin, you have the ability to edit any user's email. Please see the Help Center article, "Change a User's Account Email as an Admin."
