This article provides important facts about how GoCanvas bills for our services as well as further context about the Billing page in your GoCanvas portal.
After switching from the GoCanvas free trial to a paid plan, you will begin to receive invoices or statements.
Billing for GoCanvas Services
Let's break down how to read your invoice or statement. A few things of note:
- You will receive an invoice if you pay for GoCanvas by check or bank transfer.
- You will receive a statement if you pay for GoCanvas by credit card.
- GoCanvas issues one invoice or statement per billing cycle. You can find your Renewal Date by expanding the Account drop down, selecting Billing, and scrolling to the Account Summary section. If Departments is enabled, remember to switch to the All Department first.
- Your GoCanvas service auto-renews.
- You can update your Billing Contact and Payment Method with the corresponding hyperlinks in the Payment Methods section of the Billing page.
Billing Page
Navigate to the Billing page, following the instructions based on your Account View.
Expand the Account drop down in the left navigation and select Billing.
At the top of the left navigation, expand the menu under the username indicating the current Department and switch to the All Department. Then expand the Account drop down in the left navigation and select Billing.
Click your username at the bottom of the left navigation to expand the menu and select Billing.

Account Summary
Summarizes information about your account. Includes Billing Frequency, Renewal Date, # Open Seats, # Filled Seats, and # Seats Purchased.
Billing Summary
Includes your account's Plan Type and Balance.
Payment Method
This section includes your company's Billing Contact information, the link to edit this information, your Payment Method and a link to edit it.
Payment History
Summarizes Date, Invoice #, Amount paid, and Payment Status. Select any Invoice hyperlink to open the invoice PDF.
Invoice History
If you payment method is Invoice, or you paid by invoice at one point in your account history, this section will summarize those invoices by Date, Invoice #, Amount paid, and a column for Actions like downloading the invoice PDF or emailing the invoice PDF. Select any Invoice hyperlink to open the invoice PDF.
Account-by-Account Sections
If you account also has an Analytics package, Integrations, or other professional services, those sections will appear when applicable.
