This article provides information about the Account Date Format in the Account Settings and descriptions for each option.
The Account Date Format setting allows Admins to control the default date format for users on your account as well as configurable dates across the account.
Account Date Format
When you or your users log in to the GoCanvas portal, most dates should display with your Account Date Format. A few examples of what this impacts includes Last Edit date on the Forms page and Submission Date on the Submissions.
Date Format Options
- MM/DD/YYYY
i.e. 03/27/2024 or March 27 2024
- DD/MM/YYYY
i.e. 27/03/2024 or 27 March 2024
- YYYY/MM/DD
i.e. 2024/03/27 or 2024 March 27
This also means that configurable dates across the account will default to your Account Date Format. This includes the PDF Date Format and Submission Numbering. New forms on your account will pull the same date format as the Account Date Format. If needed, you can customize the PDF Date Format on an form by form basis.
Account Date Format
Account Admins can change the Account Date Format in the Account Settings.
Navigate to the Account Settings page following the instructions based on your Account View.
In the left navigation, expand Account and select Account Settings.

At the top of the left navigation, expand the dropdown menu under the username indicating the current Department and select All.

At the bottom of the left navigation, click your username to expand the menu and select Account.

At the top of the left navigation, expand the dropdown menu under the GoCanvas logo indicating the current Department and select All.
- In the left navigation, expand Account and select Account Settings.

Under Account Time and Date Settings, locate Account Date Format and click Settings.

Expand the dropdown menu Default Account Date Format and select one of the following options:
- MM/DD/YYYY
- DD/MM/YYYY
- YYYY/MM/DD
