This article explains how to use the Typography panel settings for all fields or specific fields in the Basic Form Builder.
Admins and Designers can use the Typography panel to create consistent and readable PDFs.
Typography panel settings
The Typography panel lets you adjust font (Style), Size, Color, and alignment (Horizontal and Vertical) for individual fields or all fields in a PDF.
Please Note
Typography panel changes only affect how submission data appears on the PDF. It does not change the appearance of fields in the app.
Select fields to format
Choose one of the following options to update all fields or a specific field on your PDF:
- Update all fields on all pages: Click an empty area next to a PDF page to deselect all pages and fields.
- Update fields on a specific page: Click an empty area on the PDF page to deselect all fields.
- Update a specific field: Select an existing field on the PDF.
Typography panel overview
- Family
Sets which font is used for your fields. Open Sans is the default font for new forms. Options consist of the following:
- Albert Sans, Cambay, Crimson Text, EB Garamond, Inter, Merriweather, Noto Serif, Open Sans, Playfair Display, Roboto, Roboto Serif, and Urbanist.
- Size
Sets the font size for field text, helping keep field values readable and visually consistent. The default font size is 11.
- Style
Applies emphasis so you can highlight important information and create a clear visual hierarchy. Options consist of the following:
- Regular: Displays text with standard weight and no added emphasis. Regular is the default.
- Italic: Applies a slanted style to selected field text.
- Bold: Increases the weight of selected field text.
- Bold Italic: Applies both bold and italic styling to selected field field text.
- Underline: Adds a line beneath selected field text.
- Underline Italic: Applies both underline and italic style to selected field text.
- Bold Underline: Applies both bold styling and adds an underline to selected field text.
- Bold Underline Italic: Applies bold, underline, and italic styling to select field text.
- Color
Changes the text color for field values on the final PDF so users can scan the content of the PDF. The default text color is black (Hex 000000). Options consist of the following:
- Dropper: Use to select a color directly from your PDF or screen.
- Crosshair: Selects a color within the provided color palette.
- Hex: A six-character color code.
- Recent: Displays recently used colors.
- Horizontal
Aligns text within the defined area of the field based on the following orientations:
- Left
- Center
- Right
- Left
- System Default
Positions text within the defined area of the field based on the following orientations:
- Top
- Middle
- Bottom
- Top
