Style

Controls how the Number field looks and behaves for users filling out the form. The Style options include:

  • Number is used to collect numeric values that can also be used in Calculations within your form.
  • Increment lets users increase or decrease a value one step at a time using plus and minus buttons.
  • Slider allows users to make a selection from a range using a point on a horizontal axis.
  • Currency adds a currency symbol and fixes the value to two decimal places for monetary amounts.

Note

Slider Style defaults to a minimum of zero and a maximum of 10, so users can quickly choose a value along a simple 0-10 scale.

Default

A value that automatically appears when a user starts a new submission.

Minimum

Sets the lowest numeric value a user can enter in a Number field. Entered values must be greater than or equal to this value.

Maximum

Sets the highest numeric value a user can enter in a Number field. Entered values must be less than or equal to this value.

Required

Makes the field mandatory. Users must enter a value before moving to the next screen or submitting the form.

Read Only

Displays a numeric value on the form but does not allow users to change it.

Advanced panel

Decimal places

Controls how many decimal places are allowed in a Number field. Consists of the following options:

  • No Limit, None, or a specific range from zero to six (1, 1.0, 1.00, 1.00, 1.000, 1.0000, 1.00000, 1.000000) decimal places.
  • If a Number field is set to Currency, it always uses two decimal places and cannot be changed. Example: $30.50, $91.00, or $7,286.99
