Application Settings

Depending on the device, the settings for each application are slightly different.

  1. Show Form Folders: If you have folders configured for your account, you can prevent them from showing up on your device. The forms that are in those folders will show up in a single list.
  2. Save Images to Photos: You can set whether you want the photos you take in photo fields to save to your device. This is a good idea if you want to be able to backup your data or if you need the images for other purposes.
  3. Save to Cloud: Allows users to save work on a submission so it can be continued later on the same device or another device. This function also allows submissions to persist through clearing data in GoCanvas and uninstalling GoCanvas from a device.
  4. Restart Form After Completion: This setting allows you to automatically begin a new submission whenever you finish one; you won't be taken back to the main screen. This is particularly useful for event registration. To exit out of the looping form, tap the back arrow at the top of the screen.
  5. Auto Sync: This is the setting for enabling auto upload, which will upload Submissions when you're back in data or wi-fi coverage.
  6. Barcode Flash: Enabling this setting simply defaults your camera's flash to "on" for when you are using it to scan a barcode.
  7. Remember Password: This will allow you to save your GoCanvas password to the device for a quicker login process.
  8. Face ID: Your phone will use Face ID to login to your account for a quicker login process.
  9. Date and Time Format: You have a few options for how date and times are displayed within the GoCanvas application, including just now, MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM, MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM am/pm.
  10. Privacy Settings: Will show you what features on your phone you've allowed GoCanvas to access, including Location Services, Contacts, Photos, Microphone, and Camera. If you're having issues with specific fields or features, you may want to check your privacy settings and grant the form more access to these features.  For users who would like to know more about how GoCanvas handles data privacy and protection please reference our Privacy Policy.
  11. Log Level: If you encounter a serious bug or problem with the GoCanvas application, you may be asked to submit your logs (more on that later). In addition to being able to do that, you can also select how detailed those logs are from this setting. You generally will not need to change this setting unless directed to by a member of the GoCanvas Support Team.
Android

You can navigate to these settings on Android a by tapping the gear icon in the upper right corner of the login screen, or the More tab at the bottom of the screen when logged in.
