GoCanvas works offline, which means you don't need to have an internet connection at all times while using it. Eventually, however, you do need to connect to the internet in order to submit your data.

Sync your device

This connection to the GoCanvas servers is called a Sync. This action will load new forms or form updates to your device, Reference Data, Dispatches, and any Workflows that are assigned to you. 

Syncing is required for devices that can be offline so it is not required for the Web Client. Here are the different methods, separated by device:

Android, iOS, and Windows

• In the upper-right corner of your screen, tap or click Sync
• Turn on Sync after tapping submit at the end of a submission

Android and iOS

• Pull the screen down to force a Sync
• Turn on Auto Sync if you are often disconnected from the internet

Windows Desktop Client

• At the top of the client, click Sync and Click to Sync
