Pre-populate a Table when Creating a Dispatch

Pre-filling a table in a Dispatch is another way that admins in the office can save time for their workers in the field.

Dispatch a Pre-filled Table

Dispatch allows you to pre-populate GoCanvas forms and then assign them to users in your account. This is a great way to assign jobs to your mobile workers so they know where to go, who to talk to when they get there, and what needs to be done. Pre-populating a table in dispatch is very similar to the mobile interface for ease of data entry.

First, navigate to Work Hub. From there, expand the Create Dispatch drop down and select Create New.

The first two screens of creating a dispatch are the same so fill those out as you usually would and complete any fields needed before the first table.

If the table is a Labels Above or Grid style loop screen, press the + Add Item button to bring up a pop-up that will allow you to add values to the row. If the table is Pre-populated, you can also click directly on a row to fill-in or edit the values that are already filled into the row.

Enter the item details. Once finished, Save to add the row to the table. If you change your mind, you can scroll to the right on the table and select the red trash can to delete the row. If you need to edit any of the values, select the cell on the table and the pop-up will come back up.
