What to do if the Windows Desktop Client crashes

This article helps you troubleshoot a common issue with computer settings that may be overloading the application, causing it to close out unexpectedly.

If the Windows Desktop Client consistently crashes, it could be because some of the settings on your computer.

Don't have a Windows desktop? No problem! Complete your mobile forms in the GoCanvas web portal on any internet-connected, modern browser using the Web Client.


Compatibility settings

Before submitting a ticket, try adjusting the following setting:

  1. Right click on the desktop icon for GoCanvas and select Properties.

  2. At the top of the GoCanvas Properties window, click Compatibility.
  3. Under Settings, select the checkbox for Run this program as an Administrator.

  4. Click Apply.
  5. Click Ok.
