GoCanvas works offline, which means you don't need to have an internet connection at all times while using it. Eventually, however, you do need to connect to the internet in order to fully submit your data.

Sync your Device

This connection to the GoCanvas servers is called a sync, and is also required whenever an admin publishes a new form or an update to a form, updates Reference Data, or assigns a Dispatch or Workflow to you.

Syncing can be accomplished in a few different ways, depending on the device. On iOS, users can simply pull the screen down to force a sync. On all devices, users can tap the sync icon in the upper right corner of the screen, or toggle on the option to sync after finishing a submission.

If you are out of range and often disconnected from the internet, you may want to consider automatically uploading submissions.
