This article provides information about how to add and configure Time fields in the Advanced Form Builder.


Time fields

Admins and Designers can use Time fields to capture the duration of a job for the purpose scheduling, tracking, or compliance.

Please Note

Reference Data cannot be used with this field type.

Add a Time field

To add a new Time field in the Advanced Form Builder:

  1. On the right side of the Forms page, in line with the form you wish to edit, click Edit.
  2. Add a Time field using your preferred method and Label the field clearly.
  3. Configure any necessary Field Settings.
  4. In the upper-right corner of the Builder, click Save, then Test the field, and click Publish and Assign to users. 

Time Field Settings

Each Time field has configurable settings that affect how the field looks and functions. Select an existing Time field to open Field Settings in the left panel.

Style

Control how the time format appears to users. Options include:

  • AM/PM: 1:57 PM (default)
  • 24 Hour: 13:57
  • HH:MM:SS: 1:57:33
  • MM:SS: 57:33
Default

The initial value of the field that is present at the start of a new submission. Options include:

  • Current Time (default)
  • No Default (Blank)
  • Custom Time
Required

Makes the field mandatory. Users must enter a value before moving to the next screen or submitting the form.

Read Only

Locks the field so users cannot edit the value but it is still visible to users.

Form Visible

Determines whether a field is visible or not visible to the submitter when filling out a form. The setting is turned on by default. When turned off, the submitter will not see the field but it will show up on the submission.
