What happens if a mobile submission fails to upload?

Submissions that fail to upload will not be lost, but will be saved locally on the device.

Syncing

When a submission is complete, GoCanvas will attempt to upload that submission by syncing. While GoCanvas works offline, you do need to have an internet connection to sync and fully submit your data.

If the sync fails for any reason, you will not lose your submission(s). The submission will be saved on your device and you can attempt to sync when you are reconnected to the internet. If you are often in areas without internet connectivity, the Auto Sync feature is a helpful feature to turn on.

Force Sync

If the sync fails, you may see a black circle with a number indicating that a form has a pending submission.

If you see this, you can tap the Sync button in the upper right to attempt to sync your device and complete the pending submission. Available on both the Forms tab and the Tasks tab.

This could also be an opportunity to review your work before submitting. Tap the Form tile and select In Progress to view the pending submission and make changes to the submission if needed.
