This article provides steps for how to enable mobile editing in Form Settings > Edit & View to allow users to View, Edit, or Copy submissions from their device.
Admins and Designers can determine which User Roles have permission to modify completed submissions in the mobile application on a form-by-form basis.
Submission editing
Edit & View
The permission to edit a submission must be granted on a form-by-form basis from Form Settings > Edit & View. To learn more, see "Enabling Submission Editing.
View, Edit, or Copy on mobile
Users can View, Edit, or Copy any of their past submissions, even submissions from previous versions.
- Launch the GoCanvas mobile application.
- Log in to your account.
-
At the bottom of the screen, tap Completed.
-
Locate and tap the submission:
- If the PDF opens, mobile editing is not enabled for the form.
- If mobile editing is enabled, the option to View, Edit, or Copy will pop-up from the bottom of the screen.
- View
Allows the user to preview the submission's PDF.
- Edit
Allows the user to edit the submission as though it is still in progress.
- Copy
Duplicate all submission data into a new submission.
A few things to keep in mind
- Calculations and Summaries are only recalculated when every impacted screen is revisited.
- Please note that if a submission was created on an older version of a form, it cannot be copied once a newer version is published, regardless of settings. For example, a submission completed on version 1 can be copied while version 1 is active. However, once version 2 is published, the copy option will no longer be available for version 1 submissions, and only submissions from the current version can be copied.
Note
If you prefer to make edits from a computer or need dynamic edits for a submission that is not yours, you can use Edit in Web Client from the Submissions page.

It is imperative to enhance the app by incorporating additional features, particularly submission capabilities, to effectively track and oversee the progress of our team members' work.
Hi Vicki Sullivan,
Thank you for commenting! I apologize, but I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean that incorporating live collaboration in the mobile application would be beneficial or do you mean granting permissions to users to view other users' submissions on their mobile device? Please correct me if I am misinterpreting!
