What is the PDF Designer?

Whereas the GoCanvas Form Builders allow you to edit how you capture data, the PDF Designer gives you control over the appearance of your data.

The PDF Designer is a drag-and-drop tool where you can place the fields in your form in the exact location that you want them to be located in the output. You can have multiple columns, change the size of your text, add images, enlarge your logo, align your text, and more.

Below, on the left is an automatically generated Standard PDF and on the right is a PDF designed in the PDF Designer.

Navigate to the PDF Designer

The PDF Designer is accessible from several locations in the portal.

• Navigate to the Forms page and select the Edit PDF icon.
• Or if you are already in the Builder, toggle to the PDF Designer using the button at the top of the screen.
• If you have other form settings to configure, you can access the PDF Designer from the Form Settings page as well. Scroll to the setting PDF Options, select the Settings button in the box, and select Launch PDF Designer in the right corner of the page.
