Issue

When logging in users may encounter an error message stating that “The certificate for this server is invalid.” This error typically occurs when the device’s date and time are set manually. Manually setting the Date and Time can make the GoCanvas application receive this error because Date and Time are imperative for the application due to the need of accurate tracking when filling out submissions.

Solution

To resolve this issue, adjust  the date and time settings on the device to automatic. Once completed, restart your device and this will restore login functionality and eliminate the certificate error.

If automatic is already enabled, disable it and re-enable it. Then restart your device

  1. Close GoCanvas if it is still open
  2. Access your device's settings
  3. Locate your Date and Time settings
  4. Set your Date and Time settings to automatic
  5. Close the settings on your device
  6. Restart your device
  7. Open GoCanvas and attempt to log in
