The issue

Users see a No Content 204 error on their devices when they try to log in and complete a sync. They will not be able to resolve this error themselves because it is an issue with the content within one or more of the assigned Forms.

Typically, a No Content 204 error is caused by two different issues. The first issue is that the condition for one or more fields is incomplete. The second potential cause is incorrectly mapped Reference Data.

Below, you can see an example of an incomplete condition. Remember that this is only one example, and issues may present themselves differently.

The resolution

Since users cannot clear these errors themselves, an Admin or Designer must enter the Forms and find the error. The incorrect mapping of Reference Data or incomplete Conditions must be corrected. Once the issues are corrected, the Form can be Saved and Published. After the Form is published, the user should try to log in and complete a sync again.

Step by Step

  1. An Admin or Designer logs into www.gocanvas.com.
  2. You must review your forms to locate the missing mapping or incomplete condition.
    • You can quickly review your Forms by looking for the Condition and Reference Data icons on your Fields and Screens.
  3. Once you locate a Field or Screen with incomplete Condition or Reference Data mapping, you will need to correct the error.
  4. Once the corrections are made, Save and Publish your Form.
  5. Once you have checked all your forms or believe you have corrected the issue, Have the user log in and sync again.
    • If the error persists, then you will need to review your forms and correct the errors.

Note

Support does not have a way to locate the errors, it is a manual process.
