Adding Multi-Photo Fields to a Designer PDF

The Issue

If you're having trouble dragging a Multi-photo field into the Designer PDF or trying to place it in the middle of your Designer PDF, this article may provide a solution.

A Multi-Photo field can only be added to a PDF at the end of a page. Unlike loop screens or tables, Multi-Photo fields are limited in how we can place them on the PDF because they can vary depending on the size and shape of the photos.  As a result, a Multi-Photo field cannot be placed directly in the middle of a section on a page, and must be placed at the end of a page.

The Solution

The solution is to add a Page Break, creating space at the end of the page for the Multi-Photo Field to be placed correctly. After adding the field, you can remove the page break if needed.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open Your PDF in the Designer
Go to the Designer and open the PDF where you want to add the Multi-Photo Field.
  2. Insert a Page Break
Since the Multi-Photo Field can only go at the end of a page, add a page break where you want the field to appear.
    • Click where you want the page to break (usually at the end of the content).
    • Select the Page Break option.
  3. Drag the Multi-Photo Field
Now you can drag the Multi-Photo Field from the Form Outline section to the end of the page (after the page break).
  4. Delete the Page Break (if needed)
After adding the field, you can remove the page break to keep the page layout clean.
    • Click on the page break and press Delete.
  5. Save and Review
Save your changes and preview the PDF to make sure everything looks good.
