There are several different ways to customize the PDF generated by your GoCanvas form with varying levels of similarity to the original paper form.
Standard PDF
GoCanvas allows you to do some customization to the Standard PDF that is generated when you email your form or download it from the Submissions tab in your portal. You can upload your logo, customize the header, and change the font size of the PDF. This will be the least similar to your original paper form and is always generated after a submission.
PDF Designer
For further customization, you can use the GoCanvas PDF Designer. The PDF Designer is a drag-and-drop tool where you can place the fields in your form in the exact location that you want them to be located in you PDF report. This allows for more customization but can only be as similar as the program allows and must be designed in order to be generated.
Quick Start
The goal of Quick Start is to translate your existing paper form into a mobile form with a pixel perfect version of your PDF, built simultaneously. You’ll be able to publish your form to your users in the field in minutes! Quick Start is for everyone interested in mobile field data capture; however, it’s been specifically designed for busy workers with simple forms who do not want, or cannot, spend hours deploying forms to their field workers.
Custom PDFs
The final level is the closest to a match of your original paper form and is the only way to include complex form functionality in the PDF output. Our experts can match the look and feel of your current paper form including colors, logos, tables, graphics and more. This is a custom service that we do on a customer-by-customer basis.
Our customers who have taken advantage of this are quite happy. It gives them the best of both worlds: the ability to capture data on a mobile device and the ability to send their customers the same form they are used to seeing.
