Modify the Standard PDF in the Legacy Builder

Although the Standard PDF is less customizable than the PDF Designer, there are a few settings that can be adjusted from within the Legacy Builder.

Page Breaks

You can force a page break in your Standard PDF after any field or screen in your form.

For Fields

1. Add a field to your form or locate an existing field and select the field to open settings in the left panel.
2. Expand the More drop down.
3. Check the box for Page Break After to force a new page after that field.
4. Save.

For Screens

1. Add a screen or locate an existing screen and select the screen form the Form Outline. Select the gear icon to the left of the Field Library to open screen settings.
2. Expand the More drop down.

3. Check the box beside Page Break After.

   

4. Save.

Sizing Images, Signatures, and Drawings

1. Add or locate an existing Drawing, Photo, and Signature field. Select the field to open the Field Settings.
2. Expand the Standard PDF drop down and locate the Size drop down for the field.

Tiling Images

You can set your photos so they appear as three tiles across the page. This comes in handy when you have a screen with multiple images that you would like to show left to right.

1. Add a Photo field to your form or locate an existing one and select the field to open settings in the left panel.
2. Expand the Standard PDF drop down.

3. Check the option for Tile Photo.

   

4. Save.

Show This Field on PDF

By default, all fields are set to Always show on the PDF. The only exception to this is the Static Image field as it's intended to only be a reference image within a form.

1. Add a field to your form or locate an existing one and select the field to open settings in the left panel.
2. Expand the More drop down.
3. Select the dropdown for Show This Field on PDF.
4. Save.

Show All Fields on PDF

By default, showing all fields is set to Always for all screens. 

1. Add a screen or locate an existing screen and select the screen form the Form Outline. Click the gear icon to the left of the Field Library to open screen settings.
2. Expand the More drop down.
3. Select the dropdown for Show All fields on PDF.
4. Save.
