It's really annoying to save, close, click back into the app, click publish for testing. For this reason, sometimes it's just easier to click Publish to device in the app builder and watch the version numbers go up and up.
It would be nice to have a Publish for testing within the app builder.

The Builder has a Test in Browser function. To learn more, visit the Help Center article, "Features Exclusive to the Builder."
Agreed. This would be helpful and would likely save a number of version increments / publish workflows.
