Static Images are a great way to relay visual information when text alone doesn't suffice.

Static Image Field

Blueprints, floor plans, diagrams, keys and legends are just a few examples of things you might want to incorporate into your form using the Static Image field.

GoCanvas Tip

Since Static Images are meant to be purely references while completing a form, they cannot be added to the PDF. If you want the image to be in the PDF, add the image as an Image Element in the PDF Designer.

Adding a Static Image

  1. Drag a Static Image field from the field library and place it in your form.LB_Static Image.png
  2. A pop-up will then allow you to select a Reference Image you've previously uploaded to your account, or upload an image from your local files. Select the highlighted space to browse your files, or simply drag and drop them into the space.LB_Static Image_Select Image.png
  3. When you browse your files and select an image, it will automatically take the original file name. The file name can be edited here if you'd like, and then proceed with Select.LB_Static Image_Select Image_Edit File Name.png
  4. Update the Field Label with a short description of what the image represents.LB_Static Image_In Form Preview.png
  5. Save and Publish to device to see it in action.

Static Images on Mobile

On mobile, users can open full-size images, zoom in, and pan around to get a more detailed look.
