Admins and Designers can provide flexibility to users in the field by using Add choices on mobile, a Field Setting unique to Dropdown fields.

Dropdown fields

The Dropdown field is a very versatile field type that allows Admins and Designers to provide a list of acceptable responses within a form. However, some use cases may require users to provide responses that are not already available in the list. The Field Setting to allow this is Add choices on mobile.

This setting also works with Dropdown fields that are powered by Reference Data.

  1. In the left navigation, click Forms.
  2. On the right side of the page, in line with the form you wish to edit, click Edit to open the Advanced Form Builder.
  3. Add a Dropdown field using your preferred method.
  4. In the center workspace, select the field to open the Field Settings in the left panel.
  5. Expand Choices and click to turn on Add choices on mobile.
