To clarify with some additional context here, I chatted with this user earlier today, and suggested that they submit this feature request. They would like to have conditional static image fields in their app that only show when the corresponding dress style number is selected. Static image fields don't currently show in the app outline to add to the Designer PDF, and uploading static images directly to the PDF does not allow for conditional logic. We also considered building out the app with web links for the images (hosting them somewhere like Dropbox), but I don't think there would be a way to convert the web links to their actual images in the PDF output. Let me know if there's another way to do this that we hadn't considered though!

Howdy Blossom Veils Enaura Bridal Staff,

Thank you for sharing this feedback! I'm glad to hear you were able to connect with my colleague Bowie in Support to explore some potential solutions for this matter.

At this time, we do not have a direct workaround for displaying Static Images in the Designer PDF based on Conditions. However, I can definitely see how this feature would be helpful. Several other users have shared similar feedback, and I have provided this feedback to our Development teams for their consideration.

Any word on this? I would love for the static images to show up in the regular PDF report as well. Every other field type you add to the form shows up in the PDF report, why are static images any different?

    Hey Chris,

Thanks for stopping by this post as well! I definitely agree that there needs to be an easier way to add conditions to reference images for whether they appear on the PDF or not. Perhaps the workaround I shared on the other post will help, by adding the reference image to a drawing field and instructing users to make a mark on the image they wish to show on the PDF. In the meantime, I have forwarded the continued interest in this feature to our product team.

Thanks for your reply. Those workarounds don't really work for us. I think Static Image fields should behave the exact same way as Static Text fields. We needed to use reference images to warn the user on the form and report because GoCanvas doesn't allow us to change fonts (would love to make something red or bold on the form).

    Hey Chris,

Is there anyway that the reference image can be text? We use this function in our Covid screening app where a static text is colored and bolded in the PDF. The static text is conditional and therefore only shows the message on the PDF if the condition is met. These fields are hidden in the app for this example so they only show on the PDF however you could use a combination of static image in the app and static text for the PDF. I know this isn't exactly what you describe but may be a solution for now.
