I would also like to see the availability to copy a field and place it in a header or foot, for example, I use a patient account number that I would like on every page. I'd like the ability to place objects in the header or footer that will be on every page.

The Community is getting cleaned up! If you are stumbling across this post after September of 2024, this is the most recent solution or answer to the request in this post.
The header for both the Standard PDF and the Designer PDF can be edited and will repeat on every page. To learn more, visit the Help Center article, "Adding Content to the Standard PDF Header" or "Why does the header appear on every page in the PDF?" The footer in the PDF Designer can also be edited and repeated on every page but the Footer for the Standard PDF cannot be edited.

Using the PDF Designer, you can place a field value in the header. Have you worked with the PDF Designer before? If not, here's a good outline: https://help.gocanvas.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006592807. More specifically with the header, here's what it would look like to do what you're describing:
