Upgrade your forms built in the Legacy Builder to take advantage of the features that are only available in the Advanced Form Builder experience.
Upgrade to the Builder
GoCanvas has released many exciting features that are only available in the Advanced Form Builder experience, like Attachment and Video fields, List screens, and the Test in browser function. If you have been a customer since before the Builder was released from the BETA development stage, then many, if not most, of your forms were probably built in the Legacy Builder. You can update those forms to the new Advanced Form Builder experience without sacrificing the features previously not available, like Advanced Loops.
Navigate to the Forms page and open any form built in the Legacy Builder by selecting the Edit icon. Once inside the Legacy Builder, at the top of the left panel there is a blurb about upgrading to the latest Builder experience; click Upgrade.
In order to upgrade, you must Save before switching. A pop-up with the option to cancel or to move forward will appear in the center of your screen. No, Cancel will close the pop-up and you can always choose to upgrade at a different time. Save And Switch will automatically load your form in the new Advanced Form Builder experience. It's as easy as that.
Downgrade to Legacy Builder
If you change your mind and need to revert your form back to the Legacy Builder, that option is available from the Form Settings page.
Click the hyperlinked name of the form or the gear icon associated with the form to open Form Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings section, above the Actions section.
Click Switch. A pop-up will ask you to confirm that you wish to continue with this action.
Click Downgrade to confirm and the page will automatically reload.
The option to upgrade will be available from within the Legacy Builder if you want to upgrade again.
