In Process Workflow Notifications

I would like to send notifications at multiple points in workflow process.  For example, after a submission is started and moved into workflow, I would like to be able to notify a sales rep that someone has submitted a quality issue for one of their customers trucks.  I would also like to keep them update on issue resolution by sending them updates throughout the workflow process.  In my mind it would be most effective to create a place in the workflow screen where in addition to "User can hand off to", there would also be a section for "Notify" where we could add either and email list or email field or even allow notifications to multiple users.

    Using a Zap, maybe instead of the pdf at the hand off you could generate an email or other notification?

    Thank you for posting this request to the Community! Just to clarify, the notification that you are describing would be for anyone that may need to know about a workflow in process, not necessarily anyone who is contributing to the submission? So something like Workflow Advanced Notifications wouldn't quite fit this need? Thank you for clarifying so I can share with the product team!

  • Yes, anyone we want to inform, it appears that Workflow Advanced Notification only notifies sender/receiver not any other parties.
