We have a process in our inspections where operators have to measure cycle times and I am beginning to suspect this is being pencil whipped and users are just typing in the time that meets our spec. I am interested in having a stopwatch field, which would require the user to start and stop the stopwatch on the inspection to document the cycle time they are supposed to be measuring.

That is a cool idea for a new field type.
Hi Joseph,
This is a really interesting idea. While I will definitely pass this idea along, I wonder if you could trigger something similar with hidden conditional time fields and a hidden calculation to subtracts the secondary time from the first. This would of course depend on the use case but if it's in a table, the first hidden time field could be conditional on the key field being filled out and the second time and the calculation could be conditional on the last field being filled out. This would of course be a stop gap solution in the meantime to help get more accurate timestamps without alerting the people in the field.
I would also be very interested in a feature like this. There are many instances that we would like to measure cycle times of various processes. I can automate a start time when they open the new form but no button like feature that will give me an automatic end time. This leaves me at the mercy of the associate picking their end time. Having a way to automatically key this in at the end of their submision or with a change to a new page of the work flow would be a very useful feature.
Hi Paul Wesling
Thanks for commenting and bumping this request! I think a stopwatch field would have many applications and will share with our Product team that there is continued interest in this request. In the meantime, the solution I shared above is an option, or a hidden time field on the very last page that automatically captures when the user gets to the end of the form is potentially another option. We cannot completely stop users from gaming the time capture but these are a few potential options.
