Assigning submission status to each workflow item manually does not work well for our process, it would be much improved if submission status could be assigned to each workflow step, or the name of the workflow step because submission status. In addition, I would like the handoff screen to be broken down into different submission status's so if someone has multiple responsibilities in the workflow, they can view which submissions are at which status easily without clicking into the submission or cross referencing with workflow and dispatch list.

I agree!! Our dispatch needs to be able to see where the drivers are within the workflow at a glance.
Example: Lets say the app has six screens. After the third screen (for this example we will name the third screen "pick-up") it would be nice for dispatch to be able to see that the driver has progressed to this point on the dispatch screen. This could be done by color changes or a bar that continues to fill-in, incorporated at the top of each viewable dispatch.
I know this sounds easy on my side compared to the coding side but it surely would be nice.
