Would it be possible to have a push sync to a device when a workflow is handed off to a user, ie they don't need to hit Sync when they receive a new handoff to see the detail.
On this - the notifications on Android don't seem to appear when you are actually in the App, so if someone has an android app and is in Canvas they don't get much notification about a new handoff (ironically they need to be out of GoCanvas to get a decent notification).

I agree that notifications are incredibly valuable to keeping a smooth workflow. I will definitely raise this query with engineering but perhaps tech support will also have some insights regarding this that I am not aware of. Regardless, it's good data for us to have so I am going to make a ticket out of this post as well. Thank you for bringing this to the Community!
Something we've done before is to use the "on hand-off" email / PDF and send it to the hand off destination user. Then they can just glance at the PDF in their email and see the status.
