The new Google Sheets integration used as reference data is awesome. I'm using Zapier to send the GoCanvas App data to the Google Sheet automatically. The manual process of re-uploading the data from Google Sheets is very time-consuming and a manual process. I would like to see a scheduled re-uploading process or a timed re-uploading process. This would allow the data captured in a form and used as reference data without any manual intervention.

Hi Joe,
If you are simply pressing the "re-sync data" button within the page for the specific file, it should be a much faster process than re-uploading a .csv file. This is a request that we are collecting feedback on and thankfully it is a matter of when it will be released and not if it will be released. This post is 4 years old. Has GoCanvas figured out a way to automate or schedule the 're-sync data' instead of forcing us to manually do this... it is very time consuming especially considering we are using multiple data sources on multiple forms.

Thank you for posting and bumping this in the Community! I unfortunately do not have any updates about automatic re-sync for the Google Sheets integration however some clients have found success using GoCanvas integrations to mock up Dynamic Reference Data where the Sheet is updated when a submission is made and then those updates can be re-synced with GoCanvas. This can be accomplished without our experts if you would like to do it yourself.
However, the step of clicking the re-sync button is still required at this time. Some clients make it a habit to re-sync at the end of the work day or at the beginning of the work day, whenever it will be most likely that their users will receive the updated Reference Data for the day.
If you would like to take it one step further, our Professional Services team has built live integrations with Google Sheets and that might be worth a conversation with your Account Representative to scope that with our experts.
I believe this feature request would be incredibly popular if it was native to the integration with Google Sheets so I will bring it back up with Product to see if they have it on their radar for the roadmap in the future.
Hi Lauren Sunday - thanks for the response. I do have an update to share.
I created a scheduled sync using Zap Scheduler. It auto-triggers a re-sync for all of my GoCanvas reference files (via Google Sheets). I've been running this since last Friday, and the sync happens every morning (3 a.m.). It seems to be working fine without issues or errors.
