We use GoCanvas for employee engagement conversations. Our form contains a predefined set of questions.
We would like to request a feature that allows GoCanvas forms to randomly select one question from a predefined list each time the form is opened or submitted.
Use case:
-
We have a bank of employee engagement questions
-
Each walk should automatically present a random question to avoid repetition
-
This helps drive more meaningful conversations and prevents people from defaulting to the same questions every time
Example of desired functionality:
-
Admin creates a list of questions in the form or linked data source
-
When the form is opened, one question is automatically populated at random
-
The user cannot choose the question manually (optional control)
-
The selected question is stored with the submission for tracking and reporting
Business value:
-
Improves quality of employee engagement
-
Reduces bias and repetition in observation conversations
-
Encourages broader coverage of safety topics over time
-
Eliminates manual selection errors or gaming of questions
If native randomization is not currently supported, even conditional logic tied to a random number function or variable would solve this.
