currently, the number field with style:"currency" is locked to two decimal places.
is it possible to increase the currency decimals with three decimal places?
i.e. fill the field with € 0,025 (yes, it's "two eurocent and half")
thanks

Howdy,
Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback! We do not have an estimated timeline to expand the number of decimal places on the Currency field type. However, our Product team is currently in the planning stages for some major updates to the App Builder, including enhancements to various field types.
Could you please share additional details on your use case for increasing the number of decimal places for the Currency field?
Providing specific scenario examples helps our Product managers understand user needs and how best to implement any potential new functionality.
Some examples:
- For the inspections of the vending machines I must verify the correct prices per liter (the price per liter is € 0.05 so for fractions of a liter, for example 0.5L = € 0.025 more than two decimal places are needed)
- another example can be the count of daily electricity consumption, currently electricity costs 0.05645 €/kWh, for 1kWh the cost is 0.05645€, more than two decimal places are needed.
- Inventory prices or purchase prices for hardware material (eg screws, nails, bolts) have more than two decimal places.
- the prices of raw materials in construction specifications have more than two decimal places.
- in general, currency conversion rates are made up of more than two decimal places, so prices after conversion could have more than two decimal places .
Agreed. Maybe the decimal places in the currency style number field could be configurable like they are in the normal number style number field?
We use some number fields with multiple decimal places in combination with currency fields in some of our apps to avoid rounding errors made during calculations. It would be better if the currency field were able to just be more precise to start with.
Another thought is that if the currency field did have multiple decimal places, it would be very helpful if there was an option to select how many decimal places to use in the app and another option to select how many decimal places to show on the PDF output. This way, the math could be more precise while still allowing common 2 decimal place currency amounts to be shown on PDF outputs (or whatever is needed).
