Permanently deleted user
I would like to be able to set the default value for a checkbox to "Yes" (checked).
I could have the user populate a single-choice box that make a hidden checkbox field appear in the pdf, but that is a bit much to get the checkbox look we want.

We do not have an estimated timeline on functionality to set Checkbox field defaults, but I have shared your feedback directly with our Product managers for their consideration. They would love to hear use case examples and feedback from other users as well!
