It'd be great if admins had an app-level feature that they could select/activate to force users to sync to get a minimum version of each app. We frequently have issues with users collecting data in older versions of apps because they did not sync prior to initiating data collection activities. We have such a large and distributed user base that simply instructing them sync at the beginning of each day has not been sufficient.

Thank you for sharing this feedback and use case example! I can see how an Admin setting to force User devices to sync to the latest version of each App would be helpful.
If you don't have to worry about people not having internet connections, you can try adjusting the Client Timeout Window (found in Account > Account Settings). You can change this so that users have to log in more frequently and sync their devices.
