Release notes: Static image is here

On Saturday, we rolled out the latest update to the App Builder, and to say that we are excited about it is an understatement. We’re thrilled to finally bring to you something that’s been highly requested and long awaited by many – that’s right, the Static Image field type is finally here.

Static Image Field Type

This feature request earned one of the highest vote counts in the history of the Community, with many applicable examples of uses in a variety of industries. The ability to place a static image in your App opens up the opportunity to provide diagrams, blueprints, floorplans, and whatever you may need to convey visual information to your users.

These pictures will appear directly in-line with all of your other fields, reducing the back and forth you may have experienced with an existing workaround involving a Drawing field type. If you want to enlarge the image, simply tap on it to zoom in and pan around for more detail.
