Field label text size in PDF Designer

Answered

Is there an option to dictate font size of field labels? Would like to have this ability so I can match their sizes with other fields for which I've turned labels off and replaced with static text labels whose sizes can be manipulated individually.

  • Hi Libby,

Great question! The field label fonts scale up and down depending on the size of the field value text. If you adjust the text size setting (either globally or on a field-by-field basis), it will size both the field value and the field label up accordingly, like this:

It's not an exact science, but you could eyeball it to match the static text size that you've set.

  • Is there a way to independently dictate formatting of the labels, though?

  • Howdy Tyler,

At this time, there is not a way to independently alter the sizes of the field label and the field value text.

However, there is a workaround for this matter. You can turn off the Show Labels option under Field Settings, then insert a static text element to serve as the field label:

The font size of the static text element can be altered independently from the field value text.
