This is a feature request to add field variable support to Web Link URLs.
Here is what is trying to be achieved:
Latitude and longitude coordinates are being supplied, as separate fields, in a dispatch CSV upload file.
These coordinates are the location of the job site related to other information in the dispatch.
When the mobile users receive their dispatch forms, the forms would contain buttons (Web Link fields), that when clicked would open up Google Maps to those coordinates on their phones.
The Web Link field, in the API designer, could contain a URL such as the following:
https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query={Latitude},{Longitude}
Where Latitude and Longitude are variables matching the field names for the respective coordinates.
When the dispatch forms are created, that URL would be updated to contain the actual coordinates supplied in the dispatch data by replacing the field variables.
Of course, this is just one scenario. The actual feature would be generalized to apply to any URLs and dispatch data.
Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Kevin,
Welcome to the Community! This is a really interesting idea. Thanks for sharing it along with an example of how you would use it. I look forward to seeing how many other users would be interested in this feature!
All the best,
Siobhan
Just we need a calculation field when you build an app that allows you to define dynamics expressions to perform calculations using for example Java Script or another language. That kind of feature will give us a powerful tool.
Hi Sergio,
I encourage you to put in a separate feature request for this! That way the Product Team can track interest and demand for this specific functionality, as this particular feature request you've shared feedback on is different from what you're describing. Click here to create a new post, so other users will be able to see it and upvote it.
Thanks!
Siobhan
I'll go ahead and submit another ticket but I think this feature would be extremely beneficial especially in our case. Please consider adding it.
