On Android devices, the "Date" field interface requires a user to click the small "XXXX" year at the top left in order to select a new year. This isn't readily apparent to all users filling out the app and causes them extra time to switch years by swiping if they don't notice it. This is especially problematic when they are filling out a field like "date of birth" and they have to navigate back lots of years, but don't understand how.
Maybe we could add some <> on either side of the year or make the year a little bigger at the top to make it more identifiable as a button on Android.

The old way that was being used a few years ago was simple it had like a dial type look. The current one is impossible for clients to figure out to click the year up in the left corner. I must say it 40+ times a day otherwise people press the calendar to the side until they get to their year. A drop down looks to create 3 fields 1 for month 1 for day and 1 for year. I tried a short text field which would work but only if the screen can be forced to rotate as it then shows all the available keys. A box that pops up like it does now with 3 drop downs built in would be ideal. Its a format use by alot of different apps and people are familiar with how that works.
