Hi gocanvas developer, i wish you could add features on a real-time notification when handsoff received by the next user. Currently we need to refresh the app to synchronize the data before it will be received. In this case, it is very inconvenient or hassle to always refresh the app just to be notified when submission from our employees completed. We need to have a real-time feature in order to have a fast transaction in terms of signature request and other tracking transaction.Please work on it because we are currently in adopting your technology for our big companies. Thank you.

You can have submissions or workflows create text messages using Zapier. If you know the persons carrier (Verizon, ATT, etc) you can do this for free using an email generated text message. If you don't know their carrier but only their mobile number there are pay services that allow you to pay per text. The latter is a little pricey in my opinion.

Have you taken a look at our Workflow advanced notifications (https://help.gocanvas.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006423253)? You could also, as Keith said, set up a Zapier integration (text or email or even a google sheet) that would update when the handoff takes place.
