It would be really useful to have a Weather widget/field that would retrieve weather information for the location that the field operative is working.
If a field operative was unable to work due to bad weather, they could click on a 'Retrieve weather info' field that would retrieve the temp, humidity, precipitation, etc. for their current location.
This information could be retrieved from a service such as https://openweathermap.org/api
At the moment, if one of our field operatives cannot work due to weather, they have to save their submission, open the Weather App on their Android device, take a screen-shot of the current weather conditions, save it, go back to canvas, and use the Image widget to locate the screen-shot of the Weather App so that it's included as part of their submission.
Just an idea....

Thank you so much for the details you provided here. I can completely see how helpful it would be if this was built into GoCanvas. I've heard this a few times before (though this is the first time it's been posted in the Community), so I wouldn't be surprised if this one got a lot of votes. Thanks for the feedback!
This is a great idea! We write up a work report every day for every job that has to include weather conditions. It would make so much sense to be able to get the weather right from the location of the mobile app filling the form - and also have the option, as Donald mentioned above, to get the weather by manually entering the location - zip code or address, for when you are in the office filling the form.
