It would be good to have the option to be able to have time fields auto-round to the nearest 15, 30, or 60 minute value when needed.
For instance, if the field was set to the nearest 15 minutes and someone entered 08:04, it would round to 08:00. Or if someone entered 08:12, it would round to 08:15.
Etc.
Maybe this could be done with a field type or option on a normal time field?
Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Nathan,
I love the idea of this being an option for the time field. Thank you for your thoughtful feedback, as always!
All the best,
Siobhan
What ever happened with this... that's from 2 years ago.
Expanding on this, the setting on the field should have an option to only allow 1/4 hour, 1/2 hour, or full hour entry as needed. We have needed this option for a while and not having it is causing a lot of extra work for us. We instruct people to only put 8:00, 8:15, etc. but they the don't cooperate. Having an option that only allows 15 minute intervals would be a game changer for us.
Hey ya'll,
Thanks for voicing your support on this post! I know it's been a while since it was originally posted but I do see how this could help other users and have brought it back up with our product team!
Along these same lines, we bill in quarter hour increments. I would love a function that allows our technicians to input their actual times and have the app automatically bill the quarter hour. If their time on site is 23 minutes, the field automatically adjusts (rounds) the labor time to 30 minutes.
This would be a great option. Has anyone discovered or created a "work around" until GoCanvas creates a valid solution?
Hi Janine!
I do have two workarounds that may be helpful for you.
1- Calculations: You can use calculations to round time. Using the start time, end time, and a constant, and a few additional calculations, you can create the output you are looking for, similar to this one.
2- Single Choice field: You can create a single choice field that allows the user to select a value from a dropdown rather than entering the time manually. The user can enter the number of whole hours using a number field and then use a dropdown that can include values such as .25, .5, .75 etc. This can also be used in a calculation.
Please let me know if this was helpful.

Add me as a plus 1 for rounding and round up functionality.
On the recommended solution, screen shot with details on the formulas would be hugely helpful. Missing quite bit there.
