PDF position options

It would be really nice to have the ability to set objects in the designer PDF with static/absolute positioning and/or sizing available as an option. So that for instance when capturing signatures we have the option to limit the overall size of the captured signature in the PDF and also lock it to the bottom of the page. I am thinking along the lines of CSS with static, relative, absolute, fixed, sticky, etc.

  • You can make the signature smaller by adding additional blank columns in the row. I always add at least 3 colums to the row where I drag the signature in. If you don't want or can't have the signature drop onto the next page, you have to limit the character length on every field and not have any loops on the page. You can set a maximum character length on text fields.

  • Thanks for the tip. I hadn't thought about limiting character length. It is definitely a usable workaround but not an efficient or elegant solution.

  • Agreed. Had a situation where I had to stick to a one page format for regulatory compliance. This was my only option.
