Hi All,
There was a feature on the Android platform (not on ios) that allowed us disable the "auto-saving" of unfinished documents. According to support this feature was removed from the Android platform as of version 9.9. We specifically went with android devices because of this feature.
We are using shared devices in our environment and we are finding that sometimes our warehouse workers aren't completing forms all the way (distracted, accidentally relaunched form, etc) which often causes us to have 10's or 100's of blank forms saved each of our devices. This causes issues for us when we push a new version of an app because the old app version isn't overwritten. Then our warehouse workers get confused about which app to use. In fact, we've had to task one of our warehouse guys with going to each device every day and deleting saved versions of forms.
So with that in mind, PLEASE REINSTATE THIS FEATURE!!!
Thanks!

I agree with this. I have an app that is designed to query data but not needed for submittions, it's not uncommon for the app to auto save leaving a worthless document.
Tim: The only workaround I have found is to clear the data for the app from Android settings, log back into the app and then continue. It's really annoying, but helps to stem the outstanding junk.
According to the support rep I spoke with this feature is slated to be reinstated in the next update of GoCanvas. He was unable to get me a time frame for that update though.
Michael - Thanks for your suggestion! This is a little hard for us as we have about 16 tablets (soon to be 40) running GoCanvas at various locations. We have them setup with MDM and we lock out our users from modifying the android app settings. Hopefully the update will come sooner rather than later.
Tim: What tablets have you find that work best for your application. We are investigating rolling out GC to our panel shop with a tablet per project area.
