Stamp Photos Enhancement

Being able to draw on photos is great. But some projects that we use require stamping photos with text such as date & time. Geographic coordinates are sometimes required also. That's an enhancement that will save time & money. Here's why: Our current workflow to do that is

1) Leave GoCanvas

2) Go to another app (we user Time Stamp)

3) Take a picture with time stamp

4) Back into GoCanvas, (we force the user to go to the gallery)

5) Get the photo that they just took and then select that photo before continuing on.

It would be great if we could set system defaults to tag a photo with AND also maybe be able to pick a couple of fields from elsewhere in the form to stamp on the photo. Like maybe if your doing an inspection on a home and it can stamp the photo with the ID# of those home.

Hope GoCanvas is already working on this.

  • Howdy John,

Thank you for sharing this detailed feedback and use case example! I can see how being able to copy and stamp data from other fields onto a Photo field would be helpful. I will be sure to share the feedback you have provided with our Development teams for their consideration.

  • Time stamping photos when they are captured is something we need as well

  • Howdy Chance,

Thank you for taking the time to comment and upvote this Feature Request! I have resurfaced this post to our Product Managers to emphasize the interest in this functionality.

  • Time Stamping each picture with date would really help my operation. When we rent out our trailers we take around 20-30 pictures before and after return. These pictures greatly assist us when our trailers come back damaged and our insurance company wants to see all pics before and after. It also helps when we show the renter the condition in which they first picked up the trailer. They help greatly in disputes, but a renter can always say that the pickup pictures were taken a month ago and that the trailer was already damaged when they picked it up because the pictures are not time/date stamped.
