We would like to have the ability to change the delimiting character in emailed report file names. For example, we have our apps generate reports that include job number, customer name, and generating app in the file name. The result looks like 1234_Contoso_Company_Work_Ticket.pdf.
This presents a problem for our back end data processing. We have an automated process that sorts these reports into several different folders. Because there is not a unique delimiter between fields, it requires several steps in the logic to isolate each field for later sorting. Being able to use a dash between job number and company name would simplify the process of isolating each field.

Thanks for your feedback! One thing you could look at is doing an integration with Zapier that would give you more control over the file naming. For example, this is a simple one that would put your file into GoogleDrive and let you set the filename based on fields in your App combined with whatever delimiting character you want.
The first step is using GoCanvas as the trigger, so that it pulls in new submissions from whichever App you want. Then the action goes to GoogleDrive and looks like this:
It might be a little hard to see, but in between the fields I'm pulling in, I've used hyphens instead of the underscore. Then in my Google Drive, it shows up like this:
Not sure if that will work for your data processing, but you might also be able to use Zapier to get it somewhere else that you could work with.
