Changes on dispatched loads

What I think would be the very best update ever is if the dispatch on the website functioned like the mobile/desktop app, where things would show/hide based on what is checked or filled in. When I go to the dispatch on the website, there are 15 pages to look over when really only 3 might need to be filled out. Of course I know that app is better at just showing the pages I need, but the problem is that the dispatch cannot be edited when it is sent from the mobile/desktop app once the driver opens it.

In our field, we might dispatch Truck1 to pick up Location A, but the customer changes their mind, and then Truck1 has to got to Location B, so I need to unassign and make changes. Customers change their minds. Trucks break down. And in my workflow in particular, it starts with a list of drivers (who are also the person being submitted to, via reference data). So, an update like this be huge for us.

So an update that would make this all PERFECT for me would be:

EITHER

  1. The “create new dispatch” functioned similar to the desktop app in that as each “page” or “section” is filled out, it would populate the correct additional “page” or “section” so that my dispatch people are not sorting through 150 fields.

    OR

  2. Once a job was dispatched with the mobile app or desktop app, it could be unassigned and fully editable, and assignable back on the website under the dispatch & workflow tab.

  • Hi Danny,

I think both of those could be useful on their own - having conditions in the Dispatch Manager is definitely a limitation we're aware of. And being able to re-assign from the manager, similar to what's possible in Workflow, would be interesting as well. Thanks for your thoughtful feedback!
