Currently 'static text' is the only option for instructional helps for filling out a survey form. This can add distracting verbiage (aka clutter) for those that don't need to see it repeatedly. And, such text adds to the amount of scrolling required to complete survey. In the earnest of an ergonomic that removes superfluous finger movements, it would be helpful to have such instructional 'helps' be available as a pop-up that reveals itself 'only when' the appropriate field is selected. And, to prevent even superfluous pop-ups that may need to be dismissed with a click, it would help if each was able to include an option for "do not show again"; so that experienced surveyors can be equipped to cut out all the superfluous stuff they can.

Here's a workaround that I've used for a couple forms, and there are a couple ways you can implement the condition for showing the static text field. For your example, you can add a Drop Down field with the first Choice as blank (press enter then down arrow) and second Choice entered as "do not show again". Add your static text field(s) and then set the Field Condition for each static text field and specify the Condition Screen and Condition Field as your Checkbox with Condition <> (Not Equal) and Condition Value "do not show again".
You can then use the app Remember feature to prevent future help static text fields from showing. Make sure the user selects "do not show again", then click the ... menu button in upper right, select remember, and turn it on for "do not show again". Note that if the Field Label for your Drop Down field containing the "do not show again" option is present in multiple forms, that the remember feature will carry across forms. So if you want the "do not show again" to be an option for each of multiple forms, you'll need to name them with a unique Field Label.
You can also use the Field Condition to hide help static text based on other conditions. I use one that tells the user to enter a number with 2 decimal places so that a reference field can populate another field based on numeric input. The reference data won't show if the number isn't 2 decimal places, so placing the static text Field Condition on the field that the reference data populates to show if value is blank works. As soon as the field populates with the reference data, the help field hides.
