Allow Mobile Copy In Addition To Mobile Edit

There are some tickets / submissions that wind up being almost identical with very few changes (maybe date, time, ticket number, customer, location, etc.)

It would be awesome if you could keep the existing mobile edit functionality, but add another option (maybe mobile template or mobile copy or something) to allow a completely new submission but with the values from the submission chosen out of the history list pre-populated in there.

Then the user could just edit the small number of fields needed to make the submission unique and then submit again.

This would save a lot of time.

    Hey Nathan,

    This is actually something you can do if you have your apps set so that users can edit and view things on mobile. If you go into your history and click on the Submission, you'll see New as an option: 

    That will copy that exact submission and allow you to walk through it again. Here's a video of that working:

    The limitation, however, is that it would have to be the same user doing both Submissions.

    Hi Sara.

    That helps.  I had never tested the New option as I thought it would just launch a new blank submission.  That is exactly what I was after.

    Doing new in that instance creates an entirely new submission, so the submission number changes. Here's what the submission numbers look like in the backend for the submissions I did above: 

    So it's a little different than a mobile edit when you use new.

    Perfect.  I would add a vote for changing the button to say Copy instead of New, but that's just my weirdness.

    There is an additional limitation in that the "new" or copy option goes away if a new version of the app is created.

    Hello, I have the same question to ask eventho this question was asked 3 years ago. I dont see this "New" option . I can only see view and edit.
