Use case:
On an inspection form wanting to determine the duration of the job in days by subtracting the project completion date from the current date.

Hi Angela,
You can calculate the days within your App by creating a calculation field in hours (End date - start date) keeping it 'mobile hidden' so end user won't see it. Then create a another calculation field (above calculation field / 24) which will create the total number days. See screenshot below of fields that are required:
